Only friends locked entries is stuff containing names/locations. You aren't missing anything.
Still haven't scanned that art. Working on a painting for school, for a possible larger project. It isn't that great and it's taking forever, but if I get it approved and they hate it, it can always be painted over.
I'm pretty much going to IM, unless they decide that they will die if I attend next year. It's gonna be weird, not knowing anyone except for this one guy. Well, I'll know C from Rock Climbing but who knows if we'll even have the same classes?
Oh yeah, rock climbing. I started doing that. Just indoor stuff for now, but it's a start.
Sakuracon later this month. I have the flu, despite getting stabbed in the arm with a needle full of virus.
I think I might actually scan something for once.
New year resolutions:
- Stay at or slightly under current weight.
- Actually post art for critique.
- Start that webcomic.
- Write that story.
- Be there for friends more.
- Get a boyfriend. Preferably a spartan. Superpowers and razor sharp wit are optional.
More practical to do list for the coming week:
- Get volunteer hours in.
- Turn in forms.
- Finish math.
- Get IB info.
- Finish invitations for party.
- Start FP thesis paper. (stem cells)
In between periods of excruciating stomach pain and running to the bathroom, I had a neat dream last night.
A weird dream preceded it involving the death of my parents and such, but it's not particulary clear. Amyway I was exploring this huge underground room. It was basically a giant basement, with relatively clean sand for a floor and dingy walls covered in graffiti. I knew the big room led elsewhere in the underground system, but this was the "cool" place. It had taken a while to get to and in order to mark my acheivement I drew some lines in the sand that set like concrete saying that I had been there. I looked around and there were a couple people I knew vaguely, but that was it. The cavern wouldn't really get full until later that night, when some kind of a party was going on. I knew it was sort of for runaways? But not really. Older people couldn't get there. And so I took a sleeping bag that I magically had with me and started clearing this space in a corner to sleep, next to this kind of charcoal grill/brazier/camping stove that I could cook on. It was really cool, but a little dangerous, because I knew that farther on in the cave system things got mean and it was kind of like "the ghetto" of the cave system, but here I would be okay.
And then the party started, and there was a group of druggies in my corner who for some reason really freaked me out and so I started to leave, right as a bunch of cops busted in on a raid. I'm not sure why, but they did. Then I had to run, but this lady cop tripped me and started screaming at me.
I've started watching the first season of Dexter. It's awesome. I already know who the ice truck killer is, though, so that's a little bit of a downer.
During midseason and a strike I find myself actually observing how much TV I watch in the absence of it. I'll sit down with my family and realize nothing is on. And that this is what we have done almost every night for the past who knows how long.
Wow. TV and the internet rule my life.
We didn't know where they came from so everyone was looking for them, because although they were hiding they were making it rain indoors and that was bad. Things were getting out of control and now there were these full on storms that made my siblings dissapear. I went outside and found the resort-house's lobby area where this other tourist guy came and helped us look for the bats. Instead we found moles in the piano, a jaguar cub in the closet, pirahna in the punchbowl, and finally one singular fruit bat attacking the fish in a giant tank by the wall. For some reason it had turned carnivorous and tried to eat the fish, although it had stopped raining.
We didn't know what to do about everything else but the pirahna could float along outside of the fish bowl so we grabbed them and chopped their heads off with a cleaver. Then my father came in and praised our efforts. Then I woke up.
Scary dream last night. It was kind of weird. There was a glacier, and we had like 5 minutes to get out of the house with what we could carry on our backs before the glacier crushed the house.
It was like a super speedy glacier. In my dream I was crying, and I only had time to grab the cat, not clothes stuffed animals photos art etc. Then the cat bit me and I woke up.
It was a weird dream but it got me thinking. If I had 5 minutes to get out of the house, what would I grab?
The most likely answer is that I'd try to decide and end up spending 4 minutes worrying before running like hell to get out of the house, grabbing the cat on the way.
